Biography

Athena Sydney, author and gemstone therapist, was born and raised in the Netherlands. Sydney still lives in the Netherlands, in a village in the north, not too far from her beloved waters, the North Sea, with her two cats.

Athena writes fantasy, fiction, suspense, poetry and articles on varying subjects including: Health & Living, Humour, People, Multimedia Reviews, New Age, World Affairs and Writing. She worked as a volunteer editor (World Affairs) for RITRO.com for one year, and now writes for GemstoneDeva.com.

One of Sydney's stories, "Hearts beating to the same drum" was published in the anthology Romancing the Soul compiled by editor Dorothy Thompson.

Another of Athena's stories, "Phantom Kitty" is featured in the Gerina Dunwich's anthology "Phantom Felines and other Ghostly Animals".

Sydney also contributed to The Writersville Charity Cookbook, a cookbook published through PageFree Publishing, of which all proceeds will go to ProLiteracy Worldwide.

Athena finished her debut novel Heiress to Evil, a fantasy thriller set in modern day Ireland, in 2003 which is available through PublishAmerica.

Her second book, a novella aimed at the young adult market, Bracelets: Star's Quest for Avalon was also published by PublishAmerica.
